the least we can do is try to be there

tiny tucked away cafes far from suburban sprawl, butterflies flitting through old growth forests, train whistles marking time, annie dillard, rainbows, and writing.

gigantic swim meets at my gym reminding me of old city/county days, olympic butterflyers bursting through the pool, the gorgeous delta fantasy of Beasts of the Southern Wild, and trader joe's dark chocolate covered almonds with sea salt.

"The answer must be, I think, that beauty and grace are performed whether or not we will or sense them. The least we can do is try to be there." (Annie Dillard)
